Set of 14" ford wheels with Mangels basket wires
Mick Bates, the new owner of Lady Anne has asked me to publicise his wheels that he is replacing with knock-on wires (see photo). Anyone interested should email Mick at mickay@blueyonder.co.uk
Hi I think you need to register as a contributor. I've never done it myself but John Williams has and you could email him at john.williams13@hotmail.com. I can be contacted direct at ocheye@mac.com. I think the wire baskets prise off like wheel trims unless there is a bolt in the centre underneath the nut which I think is a dummy. Mine didn't have these so I can't be sure.
The baskets have a little security nut on them which fortunately was loose so they are all off. Now waiting for the security nut remover for the wheels to arrive !!!
Car now started and all fine with new hoses etc. Brakes and Exhaust are in the post (ebay is my friend). Aiming to drive it (legally!) to the pub on Christmas day.

The site is designed with wannabe SS 100 owners in mind. Contributions are welcome from owners and past owners of SS 100 replicas, kitcars, similar cars or those with just a passing interest. I'm particularly interested in hearing from people in the US where these vehicles are much more plentiful as spare parts are almost impossible to obtain for my Carisma in the UK. Heaven forbid that I should have a bump. Thankfully the mechanical parts on the Carisma Century are from the trusty Ford Cortina and although not as plentiful as they were most parts can still be obtained.
Very nice. Is there a special nut for undoing the baskets?
